Hey guys. So a couple of days ago, I posted about one of my most successful posts as far as adsense revenue generated goes and I thought I would update you on my adsense challenge. If you remember this is my two year project to get 7 sites to at least 100 posts. I’ve updated the sidebar to reflect the additional posts that I have put up and I am now up to 113 posts across several sites.
You might remember that I got sandboxed on my financial site and got kind of irritated and shut down operations while I regrouped. In the meantime, I picked up the slack and added another 52 posts to my financial site. This puts me at 75 posts on that site — 25 from the goal of a 100. I can tell you that I will go way past that 100 because in order to rank number one for the keywords I want to rank for, I’m going to need a bunch more posts.
As far as the sandbox is concerned, it seems to be triggered when you get too many links. You eventually come out, but it is annoying. Every new site comes out of it if you continue working on it. My suggestion is to get a few outside links to your site and then start writing, learn how to target keywords by joining the Keyword Academy and keep refining your approach.
It’s funny because over the last couple of years, I’ll always have a moment where I will go — AHA! I completely understand it. But the Keyword Academy through it’s lessons and more importantly through the help of a couple of members, I think that I finally have the complete puzzle of adsense figured out. Something that would have probably taken me another couple of years reading Griz’s blog because I just couldn’t connect all of the dots.
Today for example, I made $7.17 and am well on my way to breaking the $100 threshold in a month at $58.52. While these might seem like modest numbers, starting from nothing, I am impressed. I remember checking my account begging for a click. It seems like things are getting easier.
When I first started the challenge, I thought that I would do a little bit on each blog but am kind of glad that I am focusing on one site as I am learning more about how to target and rank my keywords. A lot of what you learn is trial and error. And alot of your success comes down to one thing and that is EFFORT and FOCUS. Well I guess that’s two. Combine those with knowledge and you can earn a lot of money.

Glad that things are going well for you. IM is actually not as easy as it seems. Lots of focus and efforts. Definitely not a get rich scheme.
This month has been quite hectic for me due to my day job (traveling and such), meaning I have less time for my IM stuff. Hopefully, my earnings will not take a hit.
My focus now is to get my rug site to page 1. It has been on position #15-11 for some weeks and needed that something extra to push it to page 1. Currently, it is already making me $20-$30 bucks a month. I imagine the earnings will go up significantly if it can be on page one for its keyword. I have been going crazy getting all sort of backlinks, from link exchange to commenting. It is all or nothing now : )
