Well, I’m back with another post about adsense revenue. If you are in the United States, you know it’s Labor Day weekend and so not a lot gets done with most people taking it easy. Here at Working On The Go, I spent a lot of the day just digging up some links outside the norm. I actually wrote a couple of posts as a guest on other peoples blogs for my financial site.
Of course, I’ve done my usual reading way, way too much and checking my adsense and stats over and over. I have made some Google adsense revenue this week. As usual that is great. At the keyword academy, they actually had a challenge to not check your stats. All in all, it’s a great idea. One of the great additions to the forums over there is a guy named Fraser. I would link to him but I have no clue what his site is. Evidently, he gets a couple of million searchers per month. He’s provided some valuable insight into how to approach your adsense business. He laid out a formula which I’ve kind of had in my head and that is that each page you write will probably earn you on dollar per month in adsense revenues. Take what you want to make and that’s how many pages you need to write. Some pages won’t make you anything, while others will make way more than a dollar. If you want to make a $1,000 a month, then you need to do three posts per day for a year. Now, you will still have to target your keywords good and get backlinks. You have to do the whole job.
Anyway, I digress, as it’s time to get back to my the overall master plan which I’ve been refining over the last few days. Here’s the thing. You need to write your plan down. I’m going to do it here in more detail. And, part of writing down your plan is planning your daily activities so that you know what you have to do.
Most of you already know that your make money online with adsense experience is fraught with time wasters and the general feeling that work is never done. The reason that you feel that way is partly the excitement of working on something you build and partly it’s because you haven’t defined your work well enough. Once you define the work and what it takes to get it done, once it’s defined, you’ll know when you can stop and feel good about it.
The reality is that when it comes to this business, it’s not possible to set it up in one day. While you can pay for content and accelerate the process, if you are going to do it yourself, then admit to yourself that it’s a long journey. Realize too, that consistent effort over a long period of time is what really pays off.
Before I lay out what I’m going to do on Monday, I realize that some of you (if you are still reading) are in different stages of development. Remember that, you’ve got to take what I say and figure out how to customize it to your own situation. I know some of you might be working hubpages, working with adsense revenue sharing. You might be working on your own blogs like I am. Take the time, to customize what I say to your own situation.
So, we are going to start with building Monday. Here’s my checklist for Monday:
- Write a post on my financial site
- Write a post on my travel site
- Get ezine backlinks for both articles
- Get three other backlinks for cousin keywords for each article
- Check my stats
- Check my adsense account
That’s my Monday. I’m going to do it first thing so that I can get it out of the way. That way, if I want, I can spend the rest of the day doing what I want. If that means I want to read a bunch of blogs, I can feel free to do that.
This ties into my master plan of getting to 100 posts on my financial blog and doing one maintenance post on one of the sites I am aging or getting ready for content. I have to thank Fay for commenting in the last post I made about adsense keywords. Fay recommended that I build some links to the sites I am aging to give the links time to age too. I thought that was an excellent idea. Anyway, go out there and start earning some adsense revenue on your own!
UPDATE: I’ve gotten my daily post written on the financial site and my four links. Also, trying to get a few links from some people I know.
SECOND UPDATE: I posted on my travel blog to get a post on there for the week. I didn’t bother back linking it.

You know, when I retired from a ‘real J.O.B.’ (Just Over Broke) some years ago, the only thing I could really find to complain about was I never had a day off or a federal holiday. I now live outside the US also, so the little calendar of holidays that used to mean so much to me is now just a distant memory.
A year or so ago I had a minor issue with my bank (back in the US). A payment from one of my online endeavors hadn’t cleared and some other transfer or something hadn’t gone though, and I emailed the customer service department … actually a bit concerned that perhaps somehting had gone awry with my account.
The lady on email answering duty (she must have felt lonely I later realized
answered me back quite courteously and said, “Umm sir, did you forget this is Labor Day weekend? There is just me and the security guards as the whole work force of the bank available today, but I’m sure those transactions you are writing about will take place Tuesday morning after the rest of the employees get back to work.”
I completely forgot again that it was Labor Day weekend until I read this post. Apparently a lot of the world did as well, as it has just passed “Google Midnight” here and I checked my stats from Sunday … way up … I guess a lot of people stayed home, surfed and clicked.
I try like the dickens to avoid checking my Google stats more than once a day … even better to skip several days if you can … the money seems to grow faster when they aren’t being checked … after all, the big “G” knows everything, they certainly know when you are checking your stats as well.
You can not reliably set up a site to make money from AdSense overnight, but you absolutely can earn money, consistent and bankable money from Google. Best of luck on your quest, I’m interested in every post.

It’s just too much fun to checking that adsense account. Have a good holiday!
