Make Money With Adsense

in Adsense

So the journey to make money with adsense continued on Wednesday. The good news was that I made $3.11 in adsense revenue and have now crossed the $100 threshold the second time. Two years from next Thursday I should receive my check..lol. I did do my expected post today and the four backlinks. In case you are wondering, it’s not this blog. I did also do a little back linking for a few search terms as well but I couldn’t get to all of them.

I did make an adjustment to my overall plan today. As you recall, I am making 100 hundred posts on a blog going at the rate of one per day with 4 back links. When I get to the end of that 100 my plan was to then put the blog into maintenance mode and start posting only one day a week on the blog. Rather than wait on my other niches, I thought what I should do to help the aging process is go ahead and do a post a week on those blogs instead of waiting until I get to them. I thought that made more sense. More on that to come.

I did run across across a person who has a plan as well. Check out the Passive Income site with his post about making money online. He seems to have been inspired by all of these challenges and the like. In the meantime, I am going to continue my quest to learn how to make money online with adsense.

I had always had a theory that for every page I have online, I can expect around a $1.00 per month if I did no back linking and that’s what it seems to be working out to be. There was a discussion about this today over at The Keyword Academy. You can probably do better, but I think that it’s a fair estimate.

I didn’t have time today to mine my stats for all of my keyword searches and plan on getting caught up on that tomorrow. Here’s to making money with adsense!

Even a dollar per page per month starts to look good once you get enough pages up! I work on a similar principle mostly, I aim to build a site up to about a dollar a day. Generally keyword targeted sites with say 10 pages of info. My strategy is to keep building pages and links until the site starts to generate a few regular clicks and then I move onto something else. Initially it is a bit depressing when you are drawing in maybe £10 a month ($20) but soon you have ten sites and ten times as much, and then it is realistic to imagine 100 sites and 100x as much!

I think when I hit that point (so 100 sites with 10 pages – 1000 pages?) I will perhaps just look at building on the top performing 10% or so and really make them into something. This is all in between running my “flagship” sites that have already become niche leaders.

Keep up the good work, I love reading these kind of stories!

That is pretty good that you crossed the line again. I have only done it once but hoepfully I can do it again. Greg Ellison

@Greg
I first put adsense on a site in 2007 as an afterthought and really got focused on better targeting my articles near the end of 2008. I got my first check in July and now will get my next one in October. When I look at these things, my first goal was to break $10 per month and then $20 and my highest month is now in the $30. Ultimately I have no control over the income side but I do on the activity side. Keep at by producing more pages that are well targeted and well written and they will keep coming.

I love reading these types of experiments too and at first I was going to post once a week here. I figured that it would be better to post more like daily as a way to have fun with it. Sounds like you are doing great and thanks for the encouragement.

I was pointed to this site by Griz and I love what you are writing. Make no mistake, I like what Griz has been teaching but his community seem to be too advanced for someone like me who is starting out in the adsense world. I would like to participate in this community and see whether we can all help each other.

Regards
Aaron

Great idea to track how to make money with AdSense. I am new to this game also. Last month I earned a whopping $122 from AdSense and now they have disabled my account due to high clicking activity. My site explains how to make money by using the techniques of the gurus and has ads about making money online also. What does Google expect the visitors to do? Not click the ads when they see something that will help them to make money online, I don’t know about this. There has got to be a better way. They give and then they take away.
